Welcome to the
Middlesex Cricket Trust
Welcome to the official website of The Middlesex County Cricket Club Centenary Youth Trust, to give us our full name, though we are generally known as the Middlesex Cricket Trust
We are here to support and encourage the development of cricket and cricketers in Middlesex, through the distribution of grants and the provision of valuable information
We hope that the pages on this website prove useful to you, but if you feel that there is anything further that we can do to help you, please do contact us with your thoughts and suggestions
Our latest project
Disability Awareness and Inclusion Training
As a result of the increasing number of children with a disability being educated in mainstream schools, MCT will be funding at a cost of £7500 the new MCB programme of awareness and inclusion training for its 96 C2S coaches deployed in over 200 schools, covering 27 Chance to Shine and 10 Streetchance projects. It is important to ensure these coaches have the necessary skills, support and confidence to differentiate their coaching sessions in varying and sometimes challenging environments.
Working with the English Federation for Disability Sport, a bespoke workshop will be delivered, targeted at club officers/coaches, to support the transition of players from Hit the Top Clubs to mainstream cricket clubs.
Future plans
Working with the Metropolitan Police in the London Borough of Harrow ,and in particular the Borough Commander Chief Superintendent Dal Babu, together with the Council and Education Authority, the MCT has helped to fund the establishment of this ground-breaking scheme which aims to bring the police and local youngsters together through a programme of cricket education and participation.
This is a pioneering scheme which, it is hoped, will be extended throughout the County using cricket as a positive influence on young people.
"For a cricket lover there can be no better sight than that of kids enjoying our great game. The MCT gives kids in Middlesex the chance to learn how to play cricket in our county with the best coaches and the best facilities. Support the MCT and ensure a bright future for Middlesex cricket."
Andrew Strauss, Middlesex & England
"Without the help of the MCT, we would not have been able to
purchase the cricket equipment needed for our junior coaching"
